Chattai Palolem is a minute away from the Southern end of the beach, about 150m from the sea. A hamlet of spacious and eco-friendly beach huts made of ‘chattai’ (straw mats) with a bar and restaurant.

Chattai Palolem was designed by award-winning architect George John, whose intention was to ‘conserve the natural environment by minimizing the impact on the eco-system.’ Chattai Palolem is built against a small hillock and has retained all the boulders that were lying around.
