Chattai is closed for the monsoon from May 15. It opens once the rains stop between Oct end and mid-Nov.
Bookings for the new season will officially begin in October.
However we do list down all booking enquiries made even before October and offer rooms to them on a priority basis.
Agonda is to the north of Palolem. It is about 15 minutes away by bike/scooter/car.
Both Palolem and Agonda have electricity. Power cuts happen on and off.
Guests are advised to bring mosquito repellents and torches.
The local market is at Chaudi. It's 10 minutes away from Palolem by bike and about 20 minutes away from Agonda. The weekly market day is Saturday.

There are several restaurants/beach shacks all over Palolem and Agonda.
There are several small general and medical stores that stock basic toiletries.
There are quite a few internet places, currency converters and public phones in Palolem and Agonda.
You can hire scooters and motorbikes in both Palolem and Agonda. You can also catch the local auto-rickshaws to go around.
There are buses that ply regularly between Palolem and Agonda and to others parts of Goa .
The beaches along this particular stretch from are: Agonda, Palolem, Colomb, Patnem, Rajbag, Talpona and Galgibag. The waves are too gentle on all the beaches for any surfing.
Baga/Calangute is about 2.5 hours from Palolem by road.
Activites in Palolem and Agonda: Several places offer Ayurvedic massages and treatments. Yoga classes are conducted at both places. Kayaking, dolphin boat rides, fishing trips and boat trips to ‘ Butterfly Island ' and ‘ Honeymoon Island ' (which are actually secluded coves accessible only by boat). There are also tours of nearby spice plantations. Dandeli, a national bird sanctuary is 2 hours away by road and also offers trekking and river rafting.
